Boots on the Ground

New Hampshire politics is about being able to field operatives who can help out with grassroots campaigning. Repubican Governors Mitt Romney and Governor George Pataki are taking that advice serious. Gov. Romney recently convinced GOP operative Rich Killion to join the Commonwealth PAC. While New York Governor George Pataki is hiring Chris Larson to head his PAC's New Hampshire office. Larson previously worked for the DCI Group, Gov. Pataki is also a client of New Hampshire based firm Meridian Communications.

When in NH, criticize Rummy

While visiting the Granite state this morning both Senator Edwards and Senator Biden criticised Secretary Rumsfeld. Senator Edwards said, "I think Donald Rumsfeld needs to be gone for reasons much more important than anything he said in a speech. He's been one of the architects of this mess in Iraq, and he takes absolutely no responsibility for any of the mistakes he's made." Meanwhile, Senator Biden said, ""The most significant comparison with World War II is that we soon, will have been in Iraq as long as World War II, with much less success...If civil war breaks out, all the king's horses and all the king's men aren't going to get this country back together again."
