Weekend Run Down

Here's a quick review of visits from possible presidential candidates. Sorry if it lacks the wit and charm of most posts. I am a college student blogging about politics on a Saturday night (insert joke here), so my creative juices are not flowing right now.

Victory New Hampshire is hosting Mayor Rudy Giuliani on October 12th. He will be kicking off that group's "First in the Nation" forums. Senator McCain will be paying tribute to NASCAR fans with a pilgrimage to Loudon tomorrow. Also, Gov. Romney will be in Manchester on the 18th and will be attending a BBQ for the House Leadership PAC on the 24th. Finally, Gov. Warner, Gov. Vilsack and Sen. Bayh will be in New Hampshire this week. Stay turned for posts about any comments made at these events.

Didn't He Just Leave?

Former Virginia Governor Mark Warner will be back in New Hampshire. He will be at the Strafford County Victory Dinner on September 22nd. This will be his second visit to our fine state in three weeks.

Friday Night Kickoff!!

Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) will be helping the New Hampshire Democratic candidates to kick off the final 60 days of the general election this Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Democratic Party headquarters in Manchvegas. The champagne will be flowing from 6:00-7:30pm.

Vilsack Does New Hampshire

More information on Gov. Vilsack's trip to the Granite state. Gov. Vilsack will headline the Coos County Democrats’ 18th annual Truman Dinner. The dinner is on September 23rd in Shelbourne. The Iowa governor will also be paying a visit to the Moose Mountain Area Democrats on September 22nd. The event will take place at the Poor People's Pub in Sanbornville. With his speech at "Main Street" speech at St. Anselm's, appearing at a dinner honoring President Truman and visit to the Poor People's Pub, it seems that he will be trying to portray himself as the "common people" candidate. He will have to compete with Senator Edward's "Two Americas" theme.

Vilsack to Visit the SAC

Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack will visit New Hampshire on September 21st. He will give a speech at Saint Anselm College New Hampshire Institute of Politics entitled "Main Street Solutions For Our Nation's Problems." The speech will begin at 7:30 and there is no word whether or not he will wear his winnie the pooh outfit. Saint Anselm College is in Manchester, New Hampshire and is also known as "SAC."
