Clinton To Deliver Major Policy Address on August 7th

The New Hampshire for Hillary Campaign today announced that Senator Hillary Clinton will return to the Granite State this Tuesday, August 7. She will mark her 12th visit to New Hampshire with a policy address at the Ernest P. Barka Elementary School in Derry, NH.

Richardson To Visit North Country

Governor Bill Richardson returns to the Granite State next week for grassroots events in Strafford, Carroll and Coos counties. The Governor's trip will feature three "Presidential Job Interviews" in New Hampshire's North Country, as well as a lunchtime address before the National Education Association of New Hampshire Summer Learning Conference.

Bishop Robinson Endorses Obama

Today, Bishop Gene Robinson endorsed Barack Obama. The New Hampshire Episcopalian Bishop said, "As my work shows me every day, leadership means bringing people together and inspiring them to live out their values. Barack Obama sees beyond the partisanship and hopelessness that have dominated in recent years, and the movement he's building is bringing vital new energy and optimism into our democratic process. Rep. Hatch Endorses Biden

The Granite Status has learned that "Sean Owen of Wedu, a Manchester-based marketing strategist with a long list of local and national clients" has volunteered to "resurrect" John McCain's presidential campaign.

Richardson Gains Endorsements

According to James "The Primary Source" Pindell, "Manchester Mayoral candidate and state Representative Jane Beaulieu endorsed Bill Richardson's presidential campaign." Joining Beaulieu are State Representatives, Pat Long, Maurice Pilotte and Joel Winters

NH House Speaker Endorses Clinton

This morning, over a cup of coffee with New Hampshire voters, New Hampshire House Speaker Teri Norelli endorsed Hillary Clinton for President. In a campaign press release, Norelli said, "Now, I know a thing or two about how government works, and experienced leadership is critical to bringing about meaningful change."

Clinton has now gained the endorsements of Speaker Norelli, House Majority Leader Mary Jane Wallner and Assistant House Majority Leader Bette Lasky.

UPDATE: The Clinton campaign has announced that Norelli will also serve has the Co-Chair of New Hampshire for Hillary.

McCain To Hold Three Town Hall Meetings From August 9th-August 11th.

John McCain will visit New Hampshire from Thursday, August 9th through Saturday August, 11th. In an e-mail to supporters, the McCain camp urged people to bring undecided voters with them because "As you know, the more undecided voters who attend a McCain for President event, the more supporters we sign up for this campaign."

State Senator Jackie Cilley Endorses Obama

New Hampshire Democratic State Senator Jackie Cilley announced today that she has endorsed Barack Obama. Cilley was elected in 2006 and represents Barrington, Rochester and Somersworth.

According to an Obama press release Senator Cilley said:

"New Hampshire voters don't want to hear partisan talking points—they want real solutions. Barack Obama is striking a chord with folks here because his approach is a welcome departure from what we've seen in Washington over the last few years. Kucinich National Campaign Director To Visit Concord

Kucinich campaign director to meet with top organizations in New Hampshire

Members of the NH and NE press are invited to The Barley House on Main Street, across from the State House in Concord, Wednesday at 11AM.

Michel Klein, recently named National Campaign Director for Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich's Presidential campaign, will be in Concord to meet with directors and representatives of NH's leading advocacy organizations to discuss the importance of NH's first-in-the-nation primary and to underscore the candidate's commitment to the local and statewide issues that will attract national attention in the process.

Klein will be calling attention to the restructuring of the NH campaign designed to take advantage of progressive grassroots support. One of the changes was the naming over the weekend of longtime NH grassroots organizer Susan Bruce as NH Campaign Director for the Kucinich campaign.
