Al Gore Calls New Hampshire
Former Vice-President, and Oscar nominee, Al Gore recently called a high-profile New Hampshire Democrat. The Granite State Democrat said that he and Gore recently had "a long conversation." The call took place over the weekend and was initiated by Mr. Gore. This Dem is a hot commodity since questions have arisen has to whom they would support in 2008. Is Gore preparing for a possible run?

I assume we're talking about Billy Shaheen who chaired Gore's 2000 NH Primary campaign?
Perhaps Gore is talking up another presidential contender.
Run, Al, RUN!!
Way to go to make people think his work on the climate crisis is all a ruse and take the focus off of it. I hate this political speculation BS with no merit. And how do people know the phone calls he is making? Are they tapping his line? What BS.
Dear Anonymous: I know that the call was made because the person who received the phone call told me. I assure you that no phones were tapped in the process.
No offense to this blog, but there is no way that Gore makes a call to a key New Hampshire activist and this is the only source that reports it.

Well, according to this it was Mr. D'Allesandro who made the call, not Mr. Gore. So who is lying and why are people wasting their time spreading this unfounded gossip around the Internet when we have issues to deal with now? No wonder Mr. Gore has no plans to run and I hope he stays far away from all of this BS.
Why do you automatically assume someone's lying? Isn't it possible that Mr. D'Allesandro made a call to Gore this weekend, but that Gore also made a call to SOMEONE ELSE in New Hampshire this weekend, someone other than D'Allesandro?
Since the original piece says that Gore initiated the call, it doesn't make sense that the call in question is the one D'Allesandro's referring to.
What I think happened is that D'Allesandro called Gore as reported by Pindell. Anyone who knows D'Allesandro knows that he is a storyteller and possibly elaborated/miscommunicated. Let's not eviscerate Cosmo over this. He runs a great blog here.
Then what is his source? Also, Al Gore is not up for an Oscar, An Inconvenient Truth and the producers are.
I'd like to hear Cosmo's explanation for the D'Allesandro story, which says that it was D'Allesandro who called Gore. Are we talking about a different prominent NH Democrat whom Gore called, or was this story about D'Allesandro in the first place and the information about who initiated the call was wrong.
Could we get some clarification on that?
