Elizabeth Edwards spend the day traveling around New Hampshire. Joining her was Kate Michelman, who is the former president of NARAL. Mrs. Edwards opened the Edwards Manchester campaign office, spoke to students at SNHU, attended house parties and spoke at a "Save Darfur" rally at UNH. At SNHU, Edwards told the crowd of college students that "The real impact of empowering women will be when it happens across the board." During her trip she also urged Democrats to stand-up to President Bush. She told Dems "Do not start capitulating to a president who is going against the will of the American people, the vote in 2006, and frankly the will of the Iraqi people as well."
