Gardner Watches Florida

Bill Gardner called the Florida primary change a "a very significant event." The Concord Monitor has the story,

"Florida lawmakers yesterday voted to jump their state's 2008 presidential primary to Jan. 29, a move that flouts national party rules and could dramatically shake up the nominating calendar.

New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner called the Florida vote "a very significant event" that could lead him to set the primary here ahead of the Jan. 22 date ordered by the Democratic National Committee, to preserve the state's first-in-the-nation status."
