Yesterday, speaking at the Sulloway and Hollis law firm, Senator Chris Dodd told legislative leaders that he was " disgusted" by the Senate action on Iraq. Here are his comments, provided by The Union Leader:
"This was debating about debating. This was, in my view, the Senate and Congress at some of its worst in some ways. Both sides sort of enjoying this game at the expense of failing to come up with some clear direction out of the Congress. The problem is there are kids dying there and the Iraqis are suffering terribly. The politics worked pretty well for everybody, I suspect, but the problem was the people on the ground, going through a lot, have to sit there and wonder what's going on."
Sorry for not updating the Senator's schedule. Mr. Dodd did not attend the event in Keene.
