John McCain's New Hampshire campaign has scored a coup. This morning, the McCain campaign announced that former Fred Thompson supporter Dan Hughes has endorsed the Arizona Senator. Hughes will become McCain's state Vice Chair.
"John McCain has the experience to lead our nation, the ability to unite the Republican Party and is best prepared to win the White House. Senator McCain understands the value and purpose of New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary and the importance of building a strong grassroots organization in the Granite State," Hughes said in a campaign statement.
Dan Hughes is a former New Castle state representative and was Ronald Reagan's Deputy Under Secretary at the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
