454 People Running for Democratic Delegates

From The NH Democratic Party:

The filing period to run for delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver closed last week. There are 454 people running for delegate in Saturday's upcoming caucuses. 38%, or 173 people, are from historically under represented groups.

"We are very happy with the high level of interest that New Hampshire voters are showing in this years Delegate selection process," said Raymond Buckley. "It is a great honor to represent New Hampshire at the national convention. With this terrific slate of diverse candidates, I feel very confident that our affirmative action goals will be met."
